Stitch with Rachel

The Petal Quilt

The Petal Quilt uses a mixture of techniques to create a floral design. You’ll combine English Paper Piecing (EPP), interfaced applique and traditional machine piecing in this quilt.

Mel Forrest

Fabric Rope Bowl

This is a quick and fun project to sew and makes a great gift! It’s also great for scrap-busting as you need very little fabric, and can use up those awkward, skinny strips that are too narrow for anything else.

Andrea Tsang Jackson

Passageway Quilt

Andrea brings her signature approach to improvisation in quilting to life. Known for embracing play and pushing creative boundaries, she demonstrates how to make an improvised patchwork curve.

Tracy Aplin

Scrappy Mug Bag

A handy little ‘quilt as you go’ bag to take your own mug out and about to workshops, work and days out. It can also be used as a scrap pot, rubbish bag or to keep your sewing bits safe while on the go. This is a great way to use up strips of fabric and left over jelly rolls. You can even personalise the bag with an embroidered label or leave off the tab and fold down the top to make it into a simple pot.

Sarah Fielke

Book Cover & Glasses Case

These glasses cases are a quick and fun stitch, and will keep your reading glasses and your sunnies safe. The book cover is adjustable to the novel you’re reading, has a built in bookmark and tells everyone loud and clear that it’s YOUR time – can’t talk, reading!

Suzanne Campion

Windows of Regent St

Inspired by Liberty’s 150th Anniversary Collection, I have created a beautiful Tote Bag, whose aesthetic is inspired by the window detail of the Tudor-inspired Liberty store on Regent Street. The bag’s panel, with its dark borders around the windows, mirrors the panes and frames that run the length of the store front.

Adam Sews

Lulu Train Case

The LuLu Train Case is the perfect home for your essential sewing supplies. With its structured shape and zip-around closure, it keeps everything secure and neatly organised. Crafted in charming Liberty fabric, it’s as beautiful as it is practical.

Clover & Violet

Celebration FPP Pouch

This project is perfect to use up those precious Liberty scraps that you just can’t bear to part with. Add a personal touch by embroidering a name or message to make it a keepsake for years to come.

Anna Sanders

Dandelion Dream Cushion

Capture the ephemeral beauty of the humble dandelion and its fluffy fairy clocks with this Dandelion Dream Cushion. With fun stitching textures and leaves that are almost three-dimensional, this piece will be as much of a celebration of your sewing skills as it is of the nature that inspired it.

Laura - Sew Different

Smock Top

The Smock Top is a breezy, loose-fitting top that pulls on over your head – no need for a zip. It has a gathered lower panel back and front and there are little gathered sleeve trims on the cap sleeves. Designed by Laura, tutorial by Alice Caroline.

Sophie Garrett

Liberty Ruffle Collar

This reversible Liberty ruffle collar is the perfect statement piece to brighten up any outfit. It’s a fun and easy accessory you can whip up in an afternoon. Layer it over a plain tee to instantly add a touch of Liberty charm and handmade flair to your look!

Emma Jones

Hexagon Shopping Bag

This pretty English Paper Pieced bag is large enough to carry your purchases at a quilt show or to take a favourite hand sewing project out and about with you.

Tutor Testimonials

Here are some of the nice things sewing enthusiasts have said about our guest teachers

“I wholeheartedly recommend any opportunity to attend any of Tracy’s workshops. They always give you so many ideas amongst a flash of amazing colour!”

A student from one of Tracy’s workshops.

I enjoyed watching the tutorials offered especially the projects that for me were a bit more challenging (such as zipper cases with multiple pockets and zippers). Jennie has a very methodical and friendly way of providing clear instructions, making them easy to follow.

Dawn Austin

“What a good tutorial thanks Suzanne (about Suzanne Campion).  I have learnt a lot about fussy cutting from you over the last few months.  At present I am working on your Somerset Garden pattern after falling in love with it at Festival of Quilts.”

Meet Your Host

Hi, I'm Alice

I’ve always loved playing with fabrics, finding particular joy in combining colours. Finding a snippet of Liberty amongst my grandmother’s quilting stash of worn-out dresses and vintage fabrics was always a highlight and, from there, my passion for Liberty fabrics grew.

I’m passionate about helping sewing enthusiasts like you bring their creative visions to life. I’ve spent years perfecting patterns and techniques that make sewing accessible and enjoyable for everyone -whether you’re just starting out or have been sewing for years.

I understand the struggles of learning on your own—I’ve been there. That’s why I’ve designed this 5-day sewing festival to provide not just patterns, but also the support, guidance, and inspiration you need to succeed. I’m here to show you that sewing can be easy, fun, and incredibly rewarding when you have the right tools and a community by your side.

We'd love you to join us!

  3. Interactive Community: You’ll be part of an active and supportive community of fellow sewists. Share your progress, ask questions, get feedback, and celebrate your achievements together.

  4. Lifetime* Access: After the festival ends, you’ll have Lifetime* access to all the patterns, tutorials, guest interviews with Alice, so you can revisit any lesson whenever you want. *Lifetime means for as long as the Alice Caroline website exists.

  5. SPECIAL BONUS: Live daily hangout and Q&A Sessions with Alice: Every day throughout the festival, join Alice live for an hour long hangout. Ask Alice any question about design, sewing techniques or Liberty! These daily bonus sessions are the only thing that will not be available as recordings due to privacy of members.

The festival is built for flexibility and support, so you can enjoy the learning experience at your own pace, to fit your own schedule.
