Floral Fantasy Quilt in Chartreuse – Full Quilt Top Kit

The quilt is constructed using basic patchwork techniques including strip piecing and half square triangles. Easily mastered, these foundational patchwork techniques will serve you well for any future quilt project you turn your hand to. Raw edge appliqué is a bit like collaging with fabric. Whilst easy to do, it does require some concentration and a slower speed setting on your machine, if possible. You can make the stitching as intricate or as simple as you like, defining petals for extra texture and visual drama if desired.

This kit includes:
Liberty Tana Lawn® and quilting cotton fabrics in various sizes and prints needed for the patchwork and raw edge appliqué on all sixteen quilt blocks.
High-quality Lasenby quilting cotton for the backgrounds.
All necessary joining, sashing, and binding fabrics. This kit uses Liberty’s Wiltshire Shadow quilting cotton in chartreuse for the sashing and binding. Also check out the alternative colourways: pink and blue!

For this kit you will need:
Sewing machine, thread to match fabric, pins, iron and ironing board, scissors or rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat, erasable fabric pen or pencil, ordinary craft glue stick.
Double-sided fabric adhesive (bondaweb): 11 3⁄4” x 31 1⁄2” (29.8cm x 80cm).
Quilt wadding: minimum size 75” x 75” (190cm x 190cm).
Backing fabric: 75” x 75” (190cm x 190cm).
Optional: free-motion quilter’s foot.
