The Maximalist Tote by Mia Bleach: Fabric & Equipment Requirements

This is not a pattern. This is a list of requirements designed to go with a pattern which will be released as part of our Sew-Along Festival.
Fabric requirements (for both bag sizes):
• 2 FQs (if using a different fabric for the front and back) OR 0.5 yard fabric for the main bag (if using the same fabric for the front and back) (We recommend Liberty Tana Lawn® or Liberty Quilting Cotton. On her large bag sample Mia has used two different Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics: yellow Love Grandma Lyn A and pink Strawberry Thief Spring C for the front and back. On her medium bag sample Mia has used Liberty Tana Lawn® Floral Harlequin A for the whole bag. There are lots of yellow Liberty Tana Lawn® and pink Liberty Tana Lawn® to choose from if you wished to achieve a similar look)
• 0.5 yard fabric for the lining (We recommend Liberty Tana Lawn® or Liberty Quilting Cotton)
• 0.5 yard fabric for the bow strap (We recommend Liberty Tana Lawn® or Liberty Quilting Cotton. On her large bag sample Mia has used Liberty Tana Lawn® Laura’s Reverie A for the straps. On her medium bag sample Mia has used Liberty Tana Lawn® Floral Harlequin A for the whole bag)
• 0.5 yard fabric for the scallops (We recommend Liberty Tana Lawn® or Liberty Quilting Cotton. On her large bag sample Mia has used Liberty Tana Lawn® Laura’s Reverie A for the scallops to match her straps. On her medium bag sample Mia has used Liberty Tana Lawn® Floral Harlequin A for the whole bag)
• Large bag size: 5″ x 17″ or Medium bag size: 5″ x 13″ light-medium weight interfacing

• Pilot Frixion Heat Erasable Gel Pen
• Iron
• Fray Check
• Small snips
• Pinking shears
• Pins
• Thread
• Point turner
• Quilting/long ruler
• MicroTex Machine Needles
• General sewing supplies
