Summer Meadow Quilt Pattern – Colourful Patchwork Medallion Design

The Summer Meadow Quilt Pattern is a beautiful celebration of colour and patchwork quilt design. Different borders radiate from a central panel of raw edge appliqué flowers and butterflies, creating a timeless medallion-style quilt that’s perfect for adding warmth and charm to any bed or sofa.

The quilt may look complicated but the blocks within it are rather more simple to achieve than they appear. The basic quilting techniques of half square triangles and flying geese are used to make many of the blocks. Well suited for intermediate sewers, with illustrated instructions and handy hints and tips you will be mastering these blocks in no time at all.

As shown, this quilt looks great in a selection of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics for the coloured sections and a plain white quilting cotton fabric for the background.
A 54” (137cm) wide fabric should be used for all coloured fabrics A-M and a 44” (112cm) wide fabric for the background.
