Let's sew together

A year-long quilting journey inspired by the rolling meadows, wildflowers and timeless charm of the English countryside. Alice is inspired by her Cotswold surroundings in this beautiful new heirloom Liberty English Paper Pieced Quilt.

Our Block of the Month (BOM) club makes sewing easy, simple and fun – each month we’ll send you a box with the fabric and instructions to make your beautiful blocks which build to make your heirloom quilt throughout the year.

About your heirloom quilt

Made up of EPP (English Paper Pieced) bespoke shapes (13 different shapes) that tesselate together to form this lovely hand-sewn heirloom quilt. And that super cute scalloped edge…..

New to sewing?

If you are new to English paper Piecing this is a great way to start your EPP sewing journey. It’s super mindful slow stitching that creates a sense of calm in your life.

Seasoned Sewer?

Even if you are an accomplished sewer, joining with one of our Quilt BOMs will be rewarding and fun.

Imagine opening a beautiful box each month......

……filled with perfectly coordinated Liberty fabrics, clear step-by-step instructions and all the inspiration you need to create something truly special.

With our Block of the Month Club, we take away the stress so you can rediscover the joy of slow stitching — a few blocks each month, one peaceful sewing session at a time.

Each delivery builds your confidence and your quilt, guiding you towards a stunning heirloom piece you’ll be so proud to finish (and maybe even hand down).

By the end of the year, you won’t just have made a double (queen) sized Liberty quilt — you’ll have created twelve months of creativity, calm and connection, one stitch at a time.

So, what's in the boxes?

Each month (or quarter) you will receive all the fabrics needed to make your beautiful Liberty blocks, full pre-cut paper templates plus fully illustrated instructions. For more details see our FAQs below.

Detailed Instructions

We take great care to write detailed, easy to follow, instructions with clear illustrations and step by step ‘how to’ guides. We also include fabric keys and top sewing tips as an added bonus.

Just the right amount of fabric

With this club you can make a quilt using lots of Liberty fabrics which are hard to come by in just the right amount. Your finished quilt will include around 76 Liberty Tana Lawn® and quilting cotton prints.

Starting a full quilt can feel daunting…so many pieces, so much time, where do you even begin?

With just a few blocks each month, the Cotswold Meadow Quilt feels achievable, manageable, and joyful – no overwhelm, just steady progress through your sewing journey.

A quilt that feels doable

A big quilt project can feel daunting. So we’ve made this one structured, achievable and enjoyable. Make a few blocks each month, clear guidance, and visible progress.

Finding the perfect colour combinations to make an heirloom quilt, let alone finding the fabrics in the right amount can be HARD….. we understand… so have done the hard work for you….. so you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the sewing process.

Before the Block of the Month Club, quilting might have looked a little like this…

and after joining our club...

What You'll Learn Making this Heirloom Quilt

You’ll learn how to English Paper Piece a full quilt top, how to create a quilt sandwich (using layers to build a warm and cosy finished quilt) and bind the edges of your beautiful quilt at the end of the 12 months. We are excited about going on this quilting journey with you….

Each month, one lucky sewer will discover a Golden Ticket hidden in a random Block of the Month box! If it’s you, you’ll win a £50 gift voucher.

Keep your eyes peeled and happy quilting!

Why quilters love our Block of the Month clubs....

Testimonial from an Alice Caroline BOM subscriber

“Beautifully packaged, with clear instructions for each month that any level of experience could follow. I also like the colour coded overall quilt page that shows which bit of the quilt you are doing for each month. Liberty Tana Lawn is my all time favourite!”

Kind words from previous QBOM members

“I’m loving every minute of this project – the beautifully curated fabrics, the design – and just taking the time to craft something beautiful.” MURIEL

This is my second BOM and I love it. Sew like crazy or just sit back, take your time, sew in the garden or sew with a little tray on your lap and a bag with all your threads, needles and scissors etc in front of the TV. Even do a project or two in between. I love it. No pressure.” CHRISTINE

“I am really enjoying it. The range of fabrics in the kits are amazing and if I was doing this separately, I wouldn’t be able to use such a wide range of different prints” KA

Hello, I'm Alice

I’ve always loved playing with fabrics, finding particular joy in combining colours. Finding a snippet of Liberty amongst my grandmother’s quilting stash of worn-out dresses and vintage fabrics was always a highlight and, from there, my passion for Liberty fabrics grew.

I’ve been running my business for over 10 years and love spending time designing sewing patterns and kits. Many of my kits are stocked in the iconic Liberty of London store which is always so exciting when I visit. One of my favourite times of the year is Quilt BOM design – I simply adore getting lost in both design and Liberty fabric choosing. I love the fact that these Quilt BOM boxes will be sent out across the globe – sharing that quilty Liberty love worldwide. – Alice xoxo

FAQs

You've got questions? We have answers!

You will receive all of the fabrics (Liberty Tana Lawn® and quilting cotton), full pre-cut paper templates plus full instructions and diagrams to make several blocks per month. Best of all, these will be enclosed in a beautiful quilt BOM box that you can use to store your work. Over the subscription period, these blocks will build to create a fabulous Liberty fabric heirloom quilt.

  • Hand-sewing needles, medium/fine size, gold-tipped are best.
  • A glue pen or stick to glue-baste to the paper pieces (alternatively you can thread baste the paper pieces to the fabric), such as the Sewline Glue Pen, here
  • Thread – either our super high quality Aurifil thread collection or Guterman 100% polyester Sew-All thread.
  • Iron and ironing board.
  • For quilting and binding the finished patchwork quilt top, a sewing machine is needed. It doesn’t matter how basic your machine is – as long as it can do a straight stitch this will be fine.
  • Cutting Mat (optional).
  • Quilt clips (optional).
  • Wadding sized approximately 82” x 82” (208cm x 208cm).
  • Backing Fabric – finished 90” x 90” (229cm x 229cm)
  • Binding Fabric – 9.5metres of Bias Binding
  • We have a ‘Haberdashery Bundle’ with several lovely accessories that will help you make this quilt more easily. You can buy that HERE.
  • You can also buy the acrylic templates to make this quilt – you can buy those HERE

The fabric amount included within your boxes each month is plenty to make your blocks, with a small amount left over.  This will vary from month to month – make sure you keep any scraps to use for tiny scrappy projects.

The Cotswold Meadow Quilt is suitable at both a beginner and intermediate sewing level, although even if you are a super experienced sewer you will still love taking part in this subscription.

Finished quilt size is 80” x  80” (203cm x 203cm). This is a double bed (queen) sized quilt.

Payment dates are as follows: 17th March, 17th June, 17th September and 17th December. Your boxes will dispatch 3-5 working days after your payment date.

Monthly shipping
UK: £3.95 per month
International Standard: £6.95 per month
International Tracked: £11.95 per month

Quarterly shipping
UK: Free
International Standard: Free
International Tracked: £8.95 per quarter

Annual shipping
UK: £47.40 one-off fee
International Standard: £83.40 one-off fee
International Tracked: £143.40 one-off fee

If you buy the annual subscription, the total annual amount is charged as a one-off fee at the time of purchase, which covers the entire 12-month period including the postage.

Your packs will be dispatched one per month, within 5 working days of the renewal date (17th of the month) but no further payment will be charged.

You will receive one month free (12 months for the price of 11).

We understand that circumstances can change, so we offer fair, pro-rated refunds for annual subscriptions. If you cancel your annual subscription before the program ends, your refund will be calculated based on the standard monthly pack price multiplied by how many packs already shipped to you.

For example (using fictional pricing for simplicity), if you’d been sent five months of packs at £40 each, that’s £200 of value. If your upfront payment was £440 for the year, then your refund would be £440 less £200 = £240.

Once 11 months has passed, no refund is available, as the final 12th month is included free of charge.

Should your circumstances change part way through the subscription meaning you wish to cancel, you are free to do so at any time by emailing [email protected].

We’re sorry, but we can’t combine Quilt Block of the Month orders with other purchases or subscriptions. Each month’s packs are prepared and sent through a dedicated, carefully managed process. Holding them back to add other items increases the chance of mix-ups and adds extra work for the team, so all QBOM parcels are sent out individually to keep everything running smoothly.

No, unfortunately we cannot change shipping methods or swap between monthly/quarterly/annual once your order is placed. Each subscription is set up in our system as soon as you buy, so please double-check your choices before completing your order.

Each month, one Golden Ticket will be hidden in a random pack across all our Quilt Block of the Month schemes. Because our packing and posting teams work independently, even we won’t know where it’s gone! The lucky recipient will find a £50 gift voucher inside their pack, to spend in our shop before the end of 2027. The voucher can be redeemed online, in-store, or at one of our events, but not against a subscription scheme. There’s no cash alternative, but it can be freely transferred or gifted to someone else. We can’t wait to hear from you if you find one happy quilting and good luck!

If tariffs are due we will charge and pay these at the UK country of origin rate. We are keeping abreast of the current situation and, should this change, we will amend tariff charging accordingly. Your product will be sent with tariff paid so it should easily travel through customs.
