The design’s large-scale paisleys, with their fluid and overlapping arrangement, are portrayed with an ikat texture effect, evocative of the group’s love for blending traditional elements with an eclectic, decorative flair.

This chapter explores the vibrant fusion of colour, pattern, and texture discovered in the process of studying artists who took inspiration from their own cultivated garden landscape. The Painted Garden explores the spaces where art and nature meet. The luscious, stippling impressions of meadow flowers, contrast with the striking vibrancy of geometric exteriors, and the brilliant tactility of Post-Impressionist landscapes.
