A true collaborative effort, Studio Florals was created by every member of the Liberty design studio. Using fluid brushstrokes, each flower emerges as an impression, either drawn from memory or inspired by photographs from research trips to gardens across the country. Designed as a large-scale repeat pattern, this communal canvas unfolds in monochromatic ink, capturing diverse floral forms through expressive mark-making and line-drawn silhouettes. A garden imagined, painted, and grown together – the Liberty way.
Autumn/Winter 2026 defines the very DNA of Liberty where design, nature, and art intertwine. Rooted in the rhythms of the natural world, this collection draws inspiration from the cycles of the seasons, mirroring the ever-evolving landscape of fashion. Just as a gardener cultivates their garden in preparation for the seasons ahead, Design Nature Art by Liberty Fabrics honours the quiet transformations that unfold with time. Curated through three distinct chapters: Story Garden, Gallery Garden, and Painted Garden, this series celebrates the profound connection between creativity and the cultivated world where history, imagination, and artistic expression bloom in unison.
Story Garden transcends the physical into spaces of imagination, mindfulness, and escapism. From the mythic Hanging Gardens of Babylon to Shakespeare’s romantic floral settings, this chapter explores the narratives that are woven in and around cultivated botanical spaces. The whimsical magic of a secret garden, and healing spaces teeming with restorative plants emphasise the intricate relationship between nature and wellbeing. The Story Garden also takes inspiration from historic pleasure grounds and wartime victory gardens, highlighting humanity’s necessity for community and finding solace through nature.
Liberty’s Tana Lawn® cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in the Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
