Aurora Stars Rainbow Quilt

A sewing machine: It doesn’t matter how old your machine is – as long as it can do a straight stitch this will be fine.

Other supplies you will need to complete your quilt:

• Cutting Mat and Ruler
• Grid Ruler
• Pins or quilt clips
• Iron and ironing board
• Thread – either our super high quality Aurifil thread collection or Gutterman 100% polyester Sew-All thread
• Wadding 108’ x 90” (274cm x 228cm)
• Backing Fabric – finished 86” x 90” (218.5cm x 228cm) quilting cotton, Tana Lawn 106” x 90” (269cm x 228cm)
• Binding Fabric Tana: 14” x 54” (35.5cm x 137cm), Quilting Cotton: 18” x 44” (45.7cm x 112cm)
• We have an ‘Aurora Stars Bundle’ available on our website with many of these accessory items included.

You will receive all of the fabrics (Liberty Tana Lawn®, Liberty quilting cotton and high quality ivory quilting cotton for contrast), full instructions and diagrams to make several blocks per month. Best of all, these will be enclosed in a beautiful quilt BOM box that you can use to store your work. Over the 12 month period, these blocks will build to create a fabulous Liberty fabric heirloom quilt.

The fabric amount included within your boxes each month is plenty to make your blocks, with a small amount left over.  This will vary from month to month – make sure you keep any scraps to use for tiny scrappy projects.

Both Aurora Stars Rainbow and Aurora Stars Tricolour are suitable at both a beginner and intermediate sewing level (although even if you are a super experienced sewer you will still love taking part in this subscription).

Finished quilt size is 78” x 78” (198cm x 198cm). This is a double bed (queen) sized quilt.

Towards the end of the year we will make backing and binding available in a choice of fabric print options, cut to the size that you will need.

Payment by monthly subscription:
Aurora Stars Rainbow – payment will be taken on 3^rd of every month starting January 2024.

Aurora Stars Tricolour – payment will be taken on 10^th of every month starting January 2024.

Payment by quarterly subscription:

Aurora Stars Rainbow – payment will be taken on 3^rd March, 3^rd June, 3^rd September and 3^rd December starting March 2024.

Aurora Stars Tricolour – payment will be taken on 10^th March, 10^th June, 10^th September and 10^th December starting March 2024.

For all quilts, shipping will commence 3-5 working days following your payment date.  If you are signing up after January 3^rd or 10^th then you will be charged for the ‘catch up’ boxes, which will ship immediately.

Payment by Annual Subscription:

You may pay the full year’s subscription in full up-front, on the day when you sign up. Your packs will be dispatched within the same time frames as the main scheme, i.e. 3-5 working days after the 3^rd or 10^th of each month. Please select Annual for this option.

Should your circumstances change part way through the subscription meaning you wish to cancel, you are free to do so at any time by emailing [email protected].  (We would, of course, be sad to see you go)
