Hi, I’m Alice, and I’ve been in the world of sewing and quilting for over 30 years. As a passionate maker, I know how frustrating it can be to start sewing from scratch. I’ve been where you are — excited to create but overwhelmed by the process. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to helping beginners like you unlock your creative potential through simple, easy-to-follow sewing patterns and tutorials.

My mission is to make sewing accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level. Over the years, I’ve seen how much confidence and joy sewing can bring and I want you to experience that too. With my guidance, you’ll not only learn to sew — you’ll love the process and feel accomplished every time you complete a project.

How the Program Works

A Simple, Step-by-Step Path to Sewing Success

Here’s how it works:

Sign Up and Get Access Straight Away: Once you sign up, you’ll gain access to our private Facebook community.
Receive a New Project Every Month: From January, you’ll receive a fresh, beginner-friendly sewing kit each month, along with video tutorials and detailed instructions. The projects are designed to build your skills, gradually increasing in complexity, so you’ll be challenged without feeling overwhelmed.
Learn at Your Own Pace: You can work through the materials as fast or as slow as you like. The videos and printable instructions are available anytime, so you can fit sewing into your schedule.

Month 1

You’ll start your sewing journey by making this beautiful and simple pouch. Learn straight stitching, how to line your pouch and putting in a zip (surprisingly easy once you know how!)

Month 2

Using those pouch skills learnt in month 1, you will turn your attention to learning how to master English Paper Piecing (EPP) – it’s super addictive and loads of fun.

Month 3

Make a beautiful Liberty Needle Case using English Paper Piecing and machine stitching. You can store your needles and pins in one place and be proud of your third sewing project.

Month 4

Learn how to make this super cute Hot Water Bottle cover using the ‘Quilt As You Go’ technique. This will give you the skills to move on to larger quilts should you wish to after this course.

Month 5

Make our gorgeous Honey House Cushion cover using the Raw Edge Appliqué. This sewing technique is very versatile and can be used for many other projects. There’s a little bit of EPP in there too – just in case you were missing it!

Month 6

Use all of your skills to master this gorgeous mini quilt. Using EPP, Raw Edge Appliqué and simple piecing, this mini quilt wall hanging will guide you through to be an expert sewer!

your first box

You will receive your first sewing project (or projects, depending on your sign-up date) straight away, with additional projects sent monthly until June 2025. Each project is designed to progress your sewing skills to the next level with gentle help and support.

Hello, I'm Alice

I simply LOVE to sew and have done since I was a young child. I’ve taught myself so much over the years and would love to share some of those skills with you or your loved ones. I want to share the joy of sewing and the wonderful sense of achievement it can bring – I can’t wait to sew alongside you.

I’ve been running my business for over 10 years and love spending time designing sewing patterns and kits. Many of my kits are stocked in the iconic Liberty of London store which is always so exciting when I visit. I LOVE designing our Alice Caroline BOMs – this one is a little different to the usual quilts, but I’m so excited to help guide you through your own sewing journey. Alice xoxo

What is included in my Stitch & Sew with Alice Club?

You will receive each month:

A new sewing kit which is aimed at improving your sewing skills gradually. Each month the projects progress to re-use the skills learnt in previous months but also giving you new ones too.
In January’s box, you will also receive needles and thread.
All of the fabric needed to make your project.
Full illustrated instructions

What else will I need?

You will need:

A sewing machine – a basic one is fine. It is possible to complete the projects without a machine but it will take longer.
Scissors – a pair for using with fabric and a pair for using with paper
Pins
Iron
Optional: rotary cutter, mat and ruler, Frixion pen

Is this sewing subscription suitable for beginners?

Yes – this subscription is aimed at people who don’t currently know how to sew. You can still join if you do know how to sew – the projects will progress any skills you already have and give you guidance through the process.

If I join, when will my box arrive and when will my payment be taken?

All boxes, including catch-up boxes, will be dispatched to you within 2-5 working days of the payment date schedule shown below.

Payment by Monthly subscription:

The first payment will be taken on 10^th January. If joining after 10^th January, payment for catch-up boxes will be taken the next working day. Then there will be a monthly payment each month until June 10^th 2025.

Can I cancel part way through the subscription?

Should your circumstances change part way through the subscription meaning you wish to cancel, you are free to do so at any time by emailing [email protected]. (We would, of course, be sad to see you go).
