This is not a pattern. This is a list of requirements designed to go with a pattern which will be released as part of our Sew-Along Festival.
Fabric requirements:
• Scraps of different coloured fabric for flower, buds and leaf (Our Liberty Tana Lawn® Multi-Coloured All-Sorts 100g would be perfect and give more than enough fabric in a variety of colours. Jo has used a pack of our rainbow charm squares for her sample but any coloured pack of our Liberty Tana Lawn® 5″ Charm Squares would suit)
• 10” x 10” background fabric (or larger if you prefer) (Jo has used Essex Linen Yarn Dyed in Flax for her sample. We recommend the subtler Liberty Emily Belle Quilting Cotton or Liberty Wiltshire Shadow Quilting Cotton collections that will look lovely if you would like to use Liberty)
Equipment:
• Water soluble pen or similar (We recommend Pilot Frixion Heat Erasable Pen)
• Matching thread for appliqué. Jo recommends Aurifil 80wt cotton
• Embroidery threads in a range of colours to coordinate or contrast with your fabric. Jo recommends Aurifil 12wt wool
• Suitable needles for both weights of thread
• Clover Appliqué Pins (optional)
Project made using:
• Turned edge appliqué by hand
• Embroidery by hand
Please note: This is a list of the project requirements only. All links to products are recommendations only, you do not have to use what we have suggested. The full pattern and video tutorial for this project will be released during the Sew-Along Festival from June 22nd-29th 2024.
Happy sewing!
