Jelly Roll Checkerboard Quilt Kit

Made from one coloured fabric jelly roll and a background fabric only it is simple and lots of fun. You will be whipping up this quilt in no time at all! (If you haven’t seen one before, a jelly roll contains lots of long strips of fabric and is usually packaged rolled up like a Swiss roll sponge cake. In this kit the fabric is packed flat.)

Suitable for an adventurous beginner, construction of this quilt uses simple strip quilting by machine to construct the square patchwork pieces and will introduce different quilting methods which will help advance your skills. Patchwork quilting may turn out to be easier than you first think!

You could arrange the fabrics in rainbow order as shown, or scatter the colours throughout the quilt top for a different look.
Any 100% cotton lightweight or quilting cotton weight fabric will be suitable for the backing.
