Liberty Building Wall Hanging Kit

Liberty London’s luxury Regent Street department store is beautifully shown on this wall hanging in springtime with blooming bunches of flowers for sale out the front and clear blue skies above. The real Liberty store is built from the wood of two ships, while this depiction is rendered in the same beautiful fabric it displays within its mock Tudor walls. Hanging as a piece of textile art on your walls it will be sure to draw many admirers and be treasured for many years to come.
The building is constructed using the raw edge appliqué technique, which is a bit like collaging with fabric. Whilst easy to do, it does require some concentration to apply the shapes in the correct order and sewing with a slower speed setting on your machine, if possible. You could use metallic threads for some added shimmer, or extra embroidery to further embellish the building if desired.
IN THIS KIT
A mix of Liberty Tana Lawn® and Quilting Cotton fabric for the appliqué, background and binding. Natural textured linen/cotton fabric for the stone appliqué sections.
Calico for the appliqué background, hanging sleeve and backing.
