Inspired by the extravagant bows used to accessorise Regency dresses, Bustle and Bow was hand-painted in soft gouache by the Liberty design studio. These subtle, three-dimensional bows hint at the rich cloth, intricate frills, and furbelows typical of the Regency style.

Dandies & Divas pays homage to the trailblazers who used fashion as a powerful tool for self-expression and status throughout history. Celebrating the eclectic, the extravagant, and the extroverted, this chapter is inspired by those who are free to express themselves. Following the limelight on centuries of artistic and cultural icons, from Cleopatra and Beaux Brummell to Josephine Baker and John Lennon, Liberty praises these societal personalities for their unconventional exuberance and playful eccentricity towards style.
