Liberty Tana Lawn® Heartbeat Cushion Kit

Surprise a loved one this Valentines Day with this sweet Heartbeat Cushion. With nine different pre- cut ready to sew Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics featured in the main heart, plus a further three for the flange and echoing hearts there sure is plenty to love and admire!

The construction of this cushion uses simple half square triangles (HSTs) made using two different methods which are quick to master and will serve you well for any future patchwork project you wish to take on. The ‘xoxo’ hugs and kisses stitching details may be completed by hand or machine, with the addition of wadding or without, as you prefer. If you use wadding, why not quilt the cushion further to really make it your own? Have fun unleashing the full force of your creativity!

IN THIS KIT

Thirty-six pre-cut Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric 2 1⁄2” (6.4cm) charm squares for the patchwork. Coloured Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for the patchwork and flange.
Quality ivory quilting cotton for the background and cushion back.

YOU WILL NEED

Scissors, pins, sewing machine, hand sewing needle, thread, Pilot Frixion Gel Pen (or any other heat- erasable fabric marker, but always test on scrap fabric first according to manufacturer instructions), thread or embroidery thread in multiple colours for stitching details.

Cushion pad: 16” (40.6cm) square
Optional wadding: 17 1⁄2” x 17 1⁄2” (44.5cm x 44.5cm), use to add extra body to the cushion front.

Finished Size: 16” x 16” (40.6cm x 40.6cm)
