This is not a pattern. This is a list of requirements designed to go with a pattern which will be released as part of our Sew-Along Festival.
Fabric requirements:
• 40 9″ x 13.5″ rainbow fabric pieces or 2 packs of Ultimate Rainbow Fabric Pack – 20 Fabrics
• 50cm of denim or plain fabric of your choice at least 1.5m wide
• 50cm cotton wadding
• 50cm calico
• 5″ x 4″ cotton fabric scrap for turned edge appliqué cow (optional, you could use any fabric motif to appliqué instead if desired)
• 9” square of wool or boiled wool felt for needle case
Equipment:
• I skien of Valdani hand dyed thread – 0775 Proud Turkey of a bright pink/red that you like
• I Embroidery thread bright green
• I reel Aurifil 80 off white and bright lime green
• I reel red 50 weight machine thread for top stitching and piecing together. (We recommend this red Aurifil 50wt thread)
• Fine Gold Eye needles no. 12
• Larger quilting needle no. 8
• 3 cotton reels to wrap your embroidery thread
• Wooden Bee button
• Fabric paint for printing cow design (optional)
• Pack of ¼” paper hexagon shapes (optional as traceable template given in pattern) (We recommend Sewline Glue Pen if you will be glue basting your English paper piecing)
Project made using:
• English paper piecing by hand
• Embroidery by hand
• Fabric painting by hand (optional)
• Turned edge appliqué by hand
• Sewing machine
