PATTERN: English Paper Pieced Hexagon Cushion Pattern

Our English Paper Pieced (EPP) hexagon cushion is a great way to show off all of your favourite Liberty prints at once. Choose a bright rainbow selection and add a feature piece to your sofa or bed, or group similar colours together to fit in with your decor. With so many fabrics able to be used in this cushion, the design possibilities are endless!

You will use the traditional EPP hand sewing method to make the front of the cushion. The pattern includes fully illustrated instructions as well as paper templates for the hexagons are provided: simply print them out on thicker paper. If you haven’t tried EPP before this is a great introductory project to the technique and you will find with these instructions that the construction is actually very simple- and addictive!

This pattern is very well suited for a Liberty Tana Lawn front and a Tana or quilting cotton backing.

You will need:
30 different fabrics, at least 4″ square each
9 × 26″ (23 × 66cm) fabric for backing
12″ (30.4cm) square cushion pad
Scissors, pins, sewing machine, hand sewing needle and thread.
Optional: fabric glue pen
