This starter English Paper Pieced quilt is designed to take you from complete beginner to confident sewer, one stitch at a time. Using our series of helpful tutorials, we’ll provide you with everything you need to start sewing this gorgeous quilt.

I LOVE to sew and have done since I was a young child, from my first wonky rabbit 😆 applique project to the quilts I make today. I’ve taught myself so much over the years and would love to share some of those skills with you or your loved ones. I want to share the joy of sewing and the wonderful sense of achievement it can bring.

I’ve been running my business for over 10 years and love spending time designing sewing patterns and kits. Many of my kits are stocked in the iconic Liberty of London store which is always so exciting when I visit. I LOVE designing our Alice Caroline quilts – we will guide you through your sewing journey and through learning how to EPP (English Paper Piecing) Alice xoxo

What is included in my Quilt Kit?

You will receive:

All you need to make the quilt top: Specially curated selection of 49 different Liberty Tana Lawn® Fabrics, high quality background fabric and Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for your quilt sashing and binding
Pre-cut paper pieces
Fully illustrated printed paper instructions.
Access to our Member’s Hub where full video tutorials will be for each step of the process.

What else will I need?

You will need:

Needle and Thread
A sewing machine – a basic one is fine. Your 9 blocks are sewn by hand and then these blocks are joined together using a sewing machine (it is possible however to join them together by hand if you LOVE hand sewing)
Fabric scissors.
A glue pen for basting your EPP shapes – optional
Wadding 75″ x 75″ (190.5cm x 190.5cm)

Is this quilt suitable for beginners?

Yes – this quilt is designed for people who don’t currently know how to sew, as are the tutorials. You can still join if you do know how to sew – the project will progress any skills you already have and give you guidance through the process.

What is the finished size of the quilt?

Your finished quilt measures: 67” x 67” (170cm x 170cm)
