Travel Zip-Up Pouch by Tracy Aplin: Fabric & Equipment Requirements

This is not a pattern. This is a list of requirements designed to go with a pattern which will be released as part of our Sew-Along Festival.  

Fabric requirements:
• 72 2″ squares total (64 for squares main piece and 8 for top edge) (We recommend two packs of 36 2.5″ Charm Squares, trimmed a small amount to the correct size)
• Interfacing, light to medium iron on 16” x 16” and 2” x 16” for the top edge
• Wadding 17” x 20”
• 17”x 20” backing (it will be seen on the inside of the pouch) (We recommend a FQ of Liberty Tana Lawn®)
• FQ for bindings (Find the perfect FQ of Liberty Tana Lawn® here, or choose a roll of Liberty Tana Lawn® Bias Binding)
• Plastic vinyl 14” x 12” ish

Equipment:
• Thread (We recommend Aurifil or Gütermann threads)
• Zip, nylon closed end 12” or longer
• General sewing supplies
