Liberty’s 40th Anniversary Classics Collection celebrates the 40th birthday of Liberty classic prints.  This beautiful collection comprises of the most popular 15 prints from the last four decades in 40 gorgeous new colourways.

What does Alice think of this collection?  “This is a wonderful collection of the most popular Liberty classic prints.  I am really excited by many of the prints and colourways.  I’m delighted to see Mitsi back as she’s one of my absolute favourites; there’s a very exciting new colourway of ‘Strawberry Thief’; a pretty and unusual colourway of ‘Emma and Georgina’; the ‘Edenham’ colours are so fresh and exciting; and, of course, I adore the pink ‘Thorpe’.  I am super excited about this collection as it will excite Liberty lovers across the globe.”

Mitsi was designed by Gillian Farr, a member of the Liberty Fabrics studio in the 1950s. It pays homage to Liberty’s historic love for Japanese design motifs, featuring delicate cherry blossom.

Liberty Fabrics’ Classics collection started in 1979, created to champion the most well-known and iconic designs from the Liberty archive all year around. The collection offers reworked and recoloured interpretations of our most quintessential Liberty heritage designs – including Art Nouveau motifs, paisley prints, landscapes and ditsy florals.

Mitsi Valeria is a small version of the Liberty Fabrics design Mitsi. The original was created by Gillian Farr, a studio member in the 1950s.

Liberty Fabrics’ Classics collection started in 1979, created to champion the most well-known and iconic designs from the Liberty archive all year around. The collection offers reworked and recoloured interpretations of the most quintessential Liberty heritage designs – including Art Nouveau motifs, paisley prints, landscapes and ditsy florals.
Liberty’s Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in the Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
