Welcome to the Little Lady Liberty blog hop — celebrating the launch of Alice’s first sewing book with a look at the Orla Pencil Case, a favourite project featuring a beautiful rainbow cascade of Liberty Tana Lawn fabrics and a brilliant way to use fabric scraps from your stash.
So, I thought I would tell you about one of my favourite projects that I designed for the book. The Orla Pencil Case was inspired by my love of pencil cases and stationery. It’s named after the daughter of one my friends and is a lovely simple project, yet really effective in its design.
I especially loved arranging the colours for this design in a beautiful rainbow cascade. It’s a brilliant project for using up scraps of fabrics and the stunning array of colours that Liberty Tana Lawn have in their collections is perfect. The pencil case can also be used as a make-up pouch or a tidy case for your haberdashery.
Little Lady Liberty has over 20 simple sewing projects for little girls – things to wear, projects for the bedroom and other useful things. Make little girls’ dreams come true with the prettiest sewing projects ever imagined.
