Ellie made this stunning scalloped maximalist tote bag using Bow Bouquet C from the Liberty Fabrics x Bridgerton collection. With Amelie Luise A scallops and Garden Blooms C lining, the bag follows Mia’s easy sewing pattern — complete with an adjustable bow strap that works as both a tote and crossbody.

“I’ve been wanting to make the Maximalist Tote Bag pattern by Mia ever since we launched our Sew-Along Festival, but I couldn’t decide on the perfect fabrics. Bow Bouquet C from the new Liberty Fabrics x Bridgerton collection instantly caught my eye. I have to admit, I’ve never actually watched Bridgerton, but I couldn’t resist those bows! I wanted to use the same collection for the lining and the scallops. For the scallops, Amelie Luise A added the perfect pop of pink and Garden Blooms C for the lining fabric beautifully complements the purple in the bows.
Mia’s tutorial was incredibly easy to follow. I have tried scallops in the past but failed, so I was slightly dreading them but Mia made them an absolute breeze! I’m no longer intimidated by scallops and will be adding them to absolutely everything. I also adore the bow strap—it makes the bag adjustable, so I can wear it as a tote or a crossbody. Plus, it looks fabulous with the bow fabric—bows on bows!”
The pattern is available as part of our Sew-Along Project Bundle
