“The moment I spotted Liberty’s latest Christmas range, I knew exactly what I wanted to make – a beautiful blouse in the in ‘March Sparkle B’. Liberty have taken a classic William Morris print ‘Honeysuckle’ and reimagined it in this gorgeous teal and hot pink colourway, with a delicate dusting of metallic stars – so subtle that you can barely see it, but just enough to give it that hint of Christmas sparkle!”
“I wanted a piece that felt fun and yet dressy enough to wear out and about during the festive season but also had the longevity to wear beyond Christmas and would work equally well styled casually with a pair of jeans.”
“For the pattern, I used New Look 6871 which was super easy to construct. I made a couple of small tweaks such as adjusting the sleeves to make them longer and adding a band, to replace the elasticated cuff. Other than that I followed the pattern precisely. I love the style and can already see several more versions of this blouse in my wardrobe’s future!”
