Day 11: Easy Handmade Christmas Card Inspiration | 12 Days of Handmade Christmas

12 Days of Handmade Christmas – Day 11: Handmade Christmas Cards!

Today we’re showing you how to turn your fabric scraps into something festive and heartfelt this Christmas. Using handmade Liberty tape (see yesterday’s blog post for the tutorial!), create your own Christmas cards – the possibilities are endless!

You will need:
Blank cards
Fabric scraps (or use our Liberty charm packs)
Double-sided tape
Scissors

To make the Christmas present card:

  1. Make your fabric tape (click here for the tutorial)
  2. Peel away the backing and apply each strip of tape at equal distance from each other, one on top of the other.
  3. Make a small bow using ribbon or string, secure it in place with double-sided tape. It’s the perfect finishing touch!

To make the bauble card:

  1. On a blank piece of paper, draw a circle to create the outline of your bauble.
  2. Stick down strips of your fabric tape on the paper, ensuring you cover the entire circle.
  3. Cut around the circle and glue this to the front of your card.
  4. Using a black pen, draw a small bow and string on the top of the bauble (or use some ribbon/string!)

Top tip: save any scraps of fabric from this project as you can use them to create even more strips of tape!

Come back tomorrow for our last day of the last day of our Christmas crafting projects!
