Day 9: Easy Handmade Face Cloths | 12 Days of Handmade Christmas

Day 9: Sew your own face cloths this Christmas using Liberty fabrics. Whether you’re treating yourself to a homemade luxury or sewing these for someone else, these reusable face cloths are a perfect project for any beginner sewer.

You will need:
Liberty Fabric (or any soft cotton)
Scissors
Flannel or towelling
Pins
Sewing machine (or you can hand sew)

  1. Cut two squares of your desired size (one from your chosen fabric, and one from the towelling)
  2. Place your fabric and towelling right sides together
  3. Sew around the edges of the squares with a 1/4″ seam allowance and leave a small gap to allow for turning out
  4. Carefully cut around the corners to remove the bulk, make sure to not cut through the stitching
  5. Pull the fabric through the gaps so its right side out
  6. Sew a neat stitch around the border of whole facecloth and neatly close the turning gap
