
For Galentine’s this year we have been busy creating a few simple, joyful crafts that are perfect for gifting and sharing with your loved ones this Valentine’s day.
We have shared with you, three of our favourite makes – a decoupage heart, an EPP heart pieced card and a pre-cut heart card. Each one is full of fun and joy, a lovely way to celebrate with the ones closest to you!

EPP Heart Pieced Card
Something simple, and uses up a Liberty Fabric scraps you may have lying around!
You will need:
- Fabric Scraps (We used Liberty Fabric)
- Blank white card
- Jewel Paper Pieces (we used 1″)
- Scissors
- Needle
- Thread (We used our Alice Caroline Aurifil Thread)
- Sewline Glue Pen
Instructions:
- Place your paper shapes onto the wrong side of your fabric
- Cut around your paper shapes leaving a 1/4 inch seam allowance around each shape
- Fold the fabric edges over the paper and secure with a Sewline Glue pen or a few basting stitches
- Repeat for the other half of the heart
- Using a whip stitch, sew the two sides together to form the heart
- Remove the paper pieces from the back of the heart once the two half are sewn together
- Using a glue stick, place the final heart onto the front of your card
Pre cut heart card
Want to make something simple and quick!
With fabric shapes already prepared, you can get started straight away on arranging your design.
You will need:
- Pre Cut Liberty Fabric Shapes
- Blank white card
- Glue or Double sided tape
Instructions:
- Select the range of Liberty Pre Cut Hearts you will use in your design
- Arrange the pre cut shapes onto your blank white card in your desired layout
- Use glue or double sided tape to secure the hearts onto the front of the card
- Leave to dry


Decoupage Hearts
Want to make the most out of your Liberty Fabric Scraps – these decoupage hearts are the perfect way to add a new pop of colour!
You will need:
- Heart Shape paper mache decoration
- Fabric Scraps (we use Liberty fabric)
- PVA or Mod Podge
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Cut your fabric scraps into small, irregular shapes
- Using a paintbrush, paint a thin layer of glue over a small section of the decoration
- Gently lay a piece of fabric onto the area where you just laid the glue
- Continue to layer the fabric onto the heart until the entire surface is covered
- Brush a final layer of glue over the top to seal
- Leave to dry completely
