What you can do with Liberty remnants

From remnant to something remarkable…

Made from a bold and vibrant Liberty fabric remnant, this is the perfect example of how a remnant can be turned into something beautiful and practical. This is everything a Liberty make should be, showcasing beautiful Tana Lawn with an intensity that simply doesn’t fade!

A few words from Carolyn:

This shirt is a PDF pattern from Pattern Emporium. The Lyrical Shirt. There are several variations from a tie neck, collar or no collar. Short, long or three quarter sleeves. And if you’re not a PDF pattern fan, you are given every bit of information to get you started with PDF downloads – along with excellent instructions with photos.

I used the Liberty Tana Lawn Lily Jane C. It was one of our many Liberty remnants and only 1.5 metres, but I still got the pattern out of the material with a bit of pattern re-arrangement!

I love this pattern, and have made three more with different looks and fabrics. I do like a pattern that earns it’s keep!

I have always shied away from shirts as they involve plackets, button holes and collars, scary things, but this was a perfect make as the instructions and pattern were so good. I highly recommend you give this pattern a go.

I wear a lot of my Liberty makes daily, as the designs are too lovely to leave in the wardrobe. The fabric is very durable and washes beautifully.

I hope I have inspired you to make something beautiful with Liberty.

Happy sewing
