Liberty Fabric’s and Bridgerton Pajama’s

Lara’s Bridgerton PJs

Lara has been busy creating these wonderful PJs with stunning frills and elegant bows, this project is a lovely reminder that sewing isn’t just about garments – it’s about creating pieces that feel joyful, personal and full of character.

A few words from Lara:

“For this sewing project, I created a pair of shortie pyjamas for my daughter using Liberty’s Fabrics & Bridgerton® Collection tana lawn.

The two fabrics used are Bow Bouquet A (1m) for the main camisole and shorts and Bouquet Parade C. (0.5m) for the ruffles. I drafted the pattern myself, but you can find similar styles online, such as the one featured below.

The set includes a camisole top and matching shorts, designed with a relaxed fit – for comfort. Gentle frills were incorporated along the neckline and bottom edge of the top, and on the hem of the shorts. The frills give the pyjamas a playful opulence, elevating them from simple sleepwear to something a little more special. Worn separately, each item could be worn as daywear – teamed with jeans, or a simple white t-shirt.

The pattern pieces were carefully cut to make the most of the floral design, ensuring the print looked balanced and harmonious. French seams were used throughout, not only for durability but also to keep the inside of the garment just as neat and pretty as the outside. I also used a satin bias binding along the top edge of the camisole and bound the edges of the pockets

The result is a set of pyjamas that feel as lovely to wear as they are to look at. The Liberty Fabrics & Bridgerton Collection fabric brings timeless charm, while the addition of frills adds movement, softness, and a sense of fun. These shortie pyjamas are not just for sleeping—they’re for lounging, daydreaming, and feeling just a little bit fabulous at home.”
