This is what 6 months of English Paper Piecing looks like! | Flower Garden Quilt update

We’re halfway through this year’s Flower Garden quilt club. Ellie (@byellesse) from Alice Caroline is making the quilt this year and is loving it so far!

Here’s some words from Ellie:

“I’ve always been someone who likes a small, speedy sewing project as I tend to get bored and just want the instant gratification of finishing something 🤪. But, I decided to challenge myself and signed myself up to make this year’s Flower Garden Quilt and I’m SO glad I did!”

“Each block is like a joyous mini project in itself and I’ve been really loving the different combinations of Liberty fabrics in each one. Lara has done a fabulous job designing them! When I’ve finished a block, I tick it off on the full quilt picture which is super satisfying.”

“I’ve been prepping my EPP shapes in batches which gives me the freedom to be able to sew when and where I like. If I’m going out and about, I’ll take my little Hello Kitty pouch with my shapes, needle, thread and scissors in and try squeeze in some sewing time when I can!”

“I’m making all my blocks first before joining everything together, mainly because I want to see the massive stack of them 😅”
