“My favourite thing to sew has to be English Paper Pieced hexagons. I just find them so joyful to work with, and you can relax into some mindless sewing. Half inch hexagons used to be my favourite size, however now I swing more towards 1.5” as they come together a lot faster.”

“My all time favourite Liberty print is Betsy Ann, I just love the delicate florals and all of the colour ways. However recently I have fallen down the rabbit hole of Hello Kitty Liberty that is produced in Japan, absolutely adorable!”

“My sewing projects are usually inspired by the fabrics themselves as I usually always buy the fabric without knowing what project I will use it in. I do like a lot of scrappy projects with a nice variety of prints included. Like a lot of people, I do tend to scroll on Instagram and Pinterest and when I come across some sewing inspiration I will save the post so I can come back to it later once I’ve collected suitable fabrics.”

“If anyone is looking to get started with sewing then my advice would be to just jump straight in! I taught myself how to sew and quilt from online resources such as YouTube and you can do the same. Hand sewing is great as you don’t need a large investment or even fancy fabrics. All you need is some small pieces of fabric, even old cotton clothing or sheets work great, and a needle and thread!”
