Thought I’d share my lovely Liberty Keiko Bag with you today.
I’ve made this in many Liberty fabrics since I designed the pattern several years ago. I think it looks new and fresh depending on the fabric used and this ‘Emerald Bay’ fabric from the latest Liberty Autumn / Winter collection definitely stands out!
The Keiko bag is a lovely pleat fronted bag with an inside pocket -it’s the perfect size for both a day bag and for an evening out. It’s size lends itself to fitting in an iPad, purse, make up plus your other handbag essentials.
The Emerald Bay fabric is inspired by one of the recurring motifs on John Redfern’s garment sketches. He was credited with making tailoured clothing chic for women – he initially made clothes for women who loved to ride, played tennis and went yachting. I really love the vibrancy of the fabric and love it in this bag.
