Colour Wheel Cushion Kit

Admire all of the colours of the rainbow in pretty Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics on this Colour Wheel Cushion. Just as suited to a child’s bedroom as the livingroom sofa, this colourful cushion is sure to draw many an admiring eye.

This is a segmented version of the classic Double Wedding Ring quilt block which is traditionally made and given to couples on their wedding day. The design utilises interlocking rings, which of course mimic wedding rings and symbolise many of the same things: unity, eternity, and love. It is a popular quilt block design, you may have seen it before and wondered how it was made but worry not – construction is much easier than it appears using the traditional English Paper Piecing (EPP) method. If new to EPP, you will find that it is quite a simple (and addictive!) way to hand sew. Do not be intimidated by the curves, they are very gentle and easily sewn – you will be whipping more up in no time at all!

IN THIS KIT

Coloured Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for the EPP.
Quality ivory quilting cotton for the background and cushion back.

YOU WILL NEED

Scissors, pins, sewing machine, hand sewing needle and thread.
Optional: water-soluble fabric glue pen, low-tack tape (such as Scotch tape), spray starch

Cushion pad: 16” (40.6cm) square Wadding: 18” x 18” (45.7cm x 45.7cm)
