English Paper Piecing Wiltshire Star | EPP Pattern

£10.00

Available as a digital download only. Designed by the wonderfully talented EPP expert Suzanne Campion, this star ornament adds some opulent elegance and contemporary flair to your festive décor.

Inspired by the sprinkling of metallic stars that Liberty have recently added to prints such as Wiltshire and Betsy in their sparkly metallic reduxes of Liberty classics, this pattern is not just for Christmas festivities; you can create stars for other home decoration projects such as children’s bedrooms or, of course, your sewing space.

Please note that the assembly instructions for the stars are the same regardless of size.

Fabric needed:
The amount required varies with how many stars you want to make.
A fat quarter each of two colours will allow you to make 1× large star or 5× small stars. Or, get one of our 6 fat quarter bundles in festive greens and reds or tasteful jewel tones to make three times that many!
We reccommend Liberty Tana Lawn® or Lasenby quilting cotton! Our wide selection of fabrics will let you pick out the perfect combination of prints, whether you want your colour palettes to be boldly contrasting or pleasingly harmonious.

Equipment needed:
EPP papers/300gsm card for your shapes using the templates on pages 9–15. These are available on Suzannes website www.suzannecampion.co.uk
Template plastic to make your own fabric cutting templates.
Hand sewing needles – size 10 applique or milliners straws.
50wt cotton thread.
Sewline fabric glue pen.
Scissors, fabric marking pen or pencil, fabric clips, thread conditioner.
Iron, and pressing wool mat or ironing board.

Optional if making large star into a Christmas tree topper:
Hook & Loop Stick on fastener – 20mm width.
Ribbon, bakers’ twine, or fine cords for smaller hanging stars.

You will receive a digital download for the instructions and pattern. You can print pages 9–15 in order to use the cutting template for the EPP pieces. Happy sewing!
