One of the most loved Liberty prints has been recoloured by Alice Caroline in delicate soft peachy pinks and willow green tones for the leaves.  The delicate colours in this new Betsy are reminiscent of the apricot blossoms in Japan.  These blossoms are known for their ornamental beauty and are a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity thanks to the early flowering and promise of spring to come.

Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Hanami, this new Alice Caroline exclusive collection celebrates the transient beauty of flowers.  Hanami means ‘flower viewing’ in Japanese and is the tradition of enjoying the beauty of spring blossoms.  It’s synonymous with friends and families meeting together beneath the trees enjoying picnics surrounded by beautiful blossom – the perfect inspiration for Liberty Exclusive prints.

Alice says about the collection.  “I am delighted to be launching the new ‘Blossom Exclusive Collection’.  Japan is one of my favourite places and I love the blossom season there.  It’s the perfect inspiration for an Alice Caroline exclusive collection.  We love a picnic and party at Alice Caroline too so I’ve always loved the idea of picnicking beneath the Sakura – we must do this next year in the fields behind our studio next spring when the apple blossom appears.”
