Strawberry Thief Kaleidoscope Cushion by Suzanne Campion: Fabric & Equipment Requirements

This is not a pattern. This is a list of requirements designed to go with a pattern which will be released as part of our Sew-Along Festival.
Fabric requirements:
• 8 different Liberty Tana Lawn® Strawberry Thief FQs (Suzanne has used these specific Strawberry Thief fabrics in her sample: Strawberry Thief P, Strawberry Thief Organic A, Strawberry Thief J, Strawberry Thief Alice Caroline Exclusive X18, Strawberry Thief H, Strawberry Thief Amethyst, Strawberry Thief M as well as a vintage Strawberry Thief. Some of these are no longer available but using any 8 different Strawberry Thief fabrics are sure to make a beautiful cushion)
• Background fabric – 75cm / 3⁄4 yd (Suzanne has used Liberty Quilting Cotton Cream on Cream Maddsie Blossom for her sample but you can achieve the same look by using Liberty Quilting Cotton Wiltshire Shadow Cream A. A plain or printed white-on-white Liberty Tana Lawn® or even the plain Rose & Hubble True Craft Cotton White would also work well.)
• Cotton Wadding / Batting – 55cm x 55cm
• Calico / Lining for front panel – 55cm x 55cm
Equipment:
• 28 x 1 1⁄4 ̋ Honeycombs EPP papers*
• 40 x 1 1⁄4 ̋ Diamonds – 45° EPP papers*
• 32 x 11⁄4 ̋ Squares EPP papers*
• 16 x 1 1⁄4 ̋ Half Square Triangles EPP papers* (*Suzanne has all of the required EPP papers bundled together here)
• Acrylic Templates with 3/8” seam allowance or Template Plastic to make your own. (Suzanne has Acrylic Templates for this project here)
• Sewing machine with 1⁄4” foot and a zipper foot
• Hand sewing needles – size 10 appliqué or milliners straws
• Cotton thread – 50 wt or finer (We recommend the 50wt Aurifil 100% Cotton 200m Threads)
• Fabric glue pen (We recommend Sewline Glue Pen plus the Glue Pen Refill Pack)
• Straight pins
• Scissors
• Fabric marking pen / pencil (We recommend Pilot Frixion Heat Erasable Pen)
• Fabric clips
• Thread conditioner (We recommend Taylor Seville Thread Magic Thread Conditioner)
• Rotary cutting equipment – mat, ruler, cutter
• Iron and pressing wool mat / ironing board.
• 2.50m x 6mm Piping Cord
• Cushion Pad – 45cm x 45cm
Project made using:
• English paper piecing by hand
• Sewing machine
