Firm, water-soluble, non-woven white stabiliser. Ideal for embroidery on lighter fabrics.
‘Avalon Plus’ is a firm wash-away stabiliser with the strength of a non-woven fabric. It dissolves in warm water with no residue, placing no stress on your beautiful embroidery.
It can be embroidered intensely without tearing, perfect for both hand and machine embroidery on more delicate fabrics.
Ideal for:
Embroidery (machine and hand), appliqué, needle painting, textile collages, quilting, darning backing, cut-work, thread lace, monogramming, sheet or transparent fabrics such as silk, organza or net lace.
Clam-shell packaging protects the stabiliser from dirt, dehydration and damp.
Hobbs Heirloom Wadding. We recommend using this white wadding for best results when making a quilt that includes white Tana Lawn.

This is a suitable sized wadding for our Alice’s Wonderland, Aurora Stars, Betsy’s Bouquet, Chocolate Box, Flower Garden, Jewel Palace and Radiant Stars BOM Quilts, although it can be used for any project.
Shrinkage of 3-5% will occur if washed.
Maximum distance between lines of quilting stitching is 4″, i.e. quilting stitching lines should be no more than 4″ apart.

Keep one eye on the time and another on a rainbow of pretty Liberty Fabrics with this Dresden Flower Clock kit. Sew the 12 petals together in neat rainbow order from reds to purples, or choose a more random arrangement of colour such as the one pictured- the choice is yours! Construction of this clock uses the English Paper Pieced (EPP) method and a traditional shape known as the Dresden Plate. Often formed of 16 ‘petals’, this version with just 12 petals is perfect for a clock. If new to the technique you will find that EPP is actually quite a simple (and addictive!) way to hand sew.
This is a project well suited for a beginner sewer and is constructed entirely by hand with a needle and thread.

You will need: Scissors, pins, erasable fabric marker (test on a small piece of the background fabric first before using on the main project), AA battery, iron, hand sewing needle and thread. Optional: water-soluble fabric glue pen, sellotape, starch
Please note: This kit will contain white hour and minute clock hands. However, the hands may be easily painted a different colour if desired, simply source a paint or spray paint in the colour of your choice and re-colour the hands before assembling the clock.
