Day 9: Sew your own face cloths this Christmas using Liberty fabrics. Whether you’re treating yourself to a homemade luxury or sewing these for someone else, these reusable face cloths are a perfect project for any beginner sewer.
You will need:
Liberty Fabric (or any soft cotton)
Scissors
Flannel or towelling
Pins
Sewing machine (or you can hand sew)
- Cut two squares of your desired size (one from your chosen fabric, and one from the towelling)
- Place your fabric and towelling right sides together
- Sew around the edges of the squares with a 1/4″ seam allowance and leave a small gap to allow for turning out
- Carefully cut around the corners to remove the bulk, make sure to not cut through the stitching
- Pull the fabric through the gaps so its right side out
- Sew a neat stitch around the border of whole facecloth and neatly close the turning gap

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more festive projects!
