Sue, one of the Lewes Sewing Bees has made this Gorgeous Tresco Summer Shirt. She’s used one of our exclusive Tresco fabrics – in the Summer colourway. Louise from the production studio has very kindly modelled the lovely shirt for us. She makes a fab model!
Here’s what Sue had to say about the make. “When I saw the Tresco fabric it immediately said ‘holiday make’ to me but I didn’t think that I would wear a dress made out of it. I decided to make a shirt and wanted a garment that could be worn with linen trousers on those hot days sightseeing in Greece (hopefully next year!!).”
“I chose the Monty pattern by Style Arc which can either be made as a sleeveless shirt dress or shirt. I prefer sleeveless or shirt sleeves but particularly liked this pattern as the yoke is extended to give a cap sleeve which prevents your shoulders catching the sun.”
“I was so pleased I chose the Summer (yellow) Tresco colour way, it’s aptly named and made me feel happy sewing with it, but it was a hard choice I could have chosen any one of them.”
