Tracy, one of our very good sewing friends, has made this amazing Betsy Meadow cowboy shirt. This new colourway of Betsy is from Liberty’s Classics Capsule collection. This collection is full of amazing new colourways of all our favourite classic Liberty prints. We asked Tracy all about her make:
“The new green Betsy Meadow was just shouting out to be a piece of clothing. It’s so eye-catching and classic. With it being a stronger colour it’s just great for autumn/winter clothes. Choosing a shirt rather than my usual dress was a bit different – but it can be worn with denim dungarees in my case.”
“The pattern is Liberty’s Camargue Cowboy Shirt. It’s got lots of hand sewing giving it a lovely handmade finish rather than top stitching which I enjoyed as I love a bit of hand-sewing. Great illustrations and instructions too. The pattern is unisex which I didn’t realise so it’s a tad big but I can layer it up in the winter and wear it as an over shirt in the summer!”
“I’m really pleased with the make up of the shirt and I can’t wait to wear it with my dungarees or pinafore dress.”
