Liberty Cat Bag

Julie from the studio has made this cute Liberty Cat Bag for her daughter’s cat Coco.  My cat Twig is modelling it here!

Liberty Cat Bag

Julie has used a fabulous Tana Lawn print called Willoughby Mews C but there are two other lovely colour ways of this print too – a vintage pale yellow and blue.  The lining uses Liberty Tana Lawn Stone T plain fabric which I love. Willoughby Mews is from the “From London With Love’ collection and is based on a favourite cat that has raided it’s owners accessories cupboard.   It’s such a fun print.

Julie said ” I made it for my daughter Hope for her to use to store her cat toys in when she goes away (hopefully we can all do that again at some point soon!).  She’s got a lovely Rag Doll indoor cat – it’s got the colouring of a Siamese cat but is really fluffy.  I used a pattern from the lady who leads a regular crafting workshop – Sadie Yeomans from Cornerhouse Crafts.  The pattern is for a smaller sized bag but I just scaled it up to almost double the size of the original pattern.  I’m really pleased with the bag and I’m sure that it will come in great use for those little, hard to contain toys a cat needs.  I just fell in love with this print and had to make something using it.”

You can contact Sadie at Corner House Crafts for the pattern.  It’s a lovely design with a handy side pocket.
