The project for today’s 12 Days of Christmas is this lovely Liberty Christmas Bunting. It’s the second project by Sarah W from the studio. You can use them as bunting or as hangings for sweets and treats or simply to jolly up your home.
Sarah talked about her love of this project. “I don’t know about you but for me, when it comes to Christmas, I’m a traditionalist. My Christmas theme is red or green and a bit of gold to add the sparkle so when it came to choosing fabric for the Christmas stocking bunting it had to be deep Liberty reds and greens. Having said that, this would be equally as beautiful in our scans selection of colours to match your theme.”
“I’ve lined each stocking with felt which gives the stocking structure and strength helping the bunting to keep its shape when strung across the room or mantlepiece. I’ve also embellished each stocking with little buttons to add detail. A real bonus of this bunting is the fact that it can also be used as an advent calendar (for next year!). The addition of numbers and a chocolate in each stocking turns it into something even more than just a beautiful decoration. This has been a pleasure to make and I can’t wait to see it in use this Christmas.
The beautiful Liberty Christmas bunting looks really lovely hanging next to the fire. The project is from the book ‘Half Yard Christmas’ by Debbie Shore.
I’ve been so inspired by the Christmas makes that everyone has made here. Happy sewing.
