Sarah from the studio loves Christmas. She’s made this gorgeous Liberty Christmas Tree Garland as one of her projects this year. Sarah always comes up with lovely Christmas ideas and I love sharing these with you for some seasonal inspiration.
Sarah told me about the project:
“I love Christmas, special times with family and friends, the food, decorations and advent, the time of preparation, reminding me why I’m celebrating and helping me focus on what Christmas is really all about.”
“The Christmas tree bunting was even easier than the angels previously shown on the blog. I printed a Christmas tree outline from the internet, layered green felt with a green Liberty tana print and pinned the tree on top. Quite simply, I sewed around the edge of the tree and cut around the finished outline with pinking shears. I then attached the trees at regular intervals to green ribbon but you could just as easily use any bias binding you may have to hand.”
“I chose traditional greens, May Manor, Mirabelle G, Mitsi C, Glenjade Q and Wiltshire C to match our theme at home but fabric choice could easily be matched to any colour scheme to suit each individual’s style.
I am so pleased with both of my ‘makes’ this year and look forward to seeing the bunting up and the angels on our tree.”
Thank you for sharing your lovely Liberty Christmas Tree Garland with us Sarah. I’m sure it will look gorgeous in your home this festive time.
