I have recently received the latest Liberty Cottage Garden collection. These quilting cottons have been designed especially people who love to quilt. I am really delighted to showcase ‘The Cottage Garden’ collection.
Inspired by the beautiful villages of Buckinghamshire where Arthur Liberty (Liberty’s founder) escaped from his London city life. English thatched cottage gardens burst with colourful floral displays. The Liberty design studio has taken inspiration from archive prints and redrawn beautiful flowers such as forget me nots, bluebells and anemones. The colour palettes include warm dusty pinks, coral tones mixed with lavender, denim and cornflower blues.
Liberty have commissioned some quilt patterns using the collection and these are free for you to use. Please download the free quilt patterns here.
I’ve curated some fat quarter bundles from the collection which work really well together. There are some really pretty fabrics which blend beautifully together. Below is my ‘Blush’ selection.
Pretty ‘Pastels’ selection.
This collection is perfect for quilters because of the variety in the colour palette. Below is my ‘Primary colours’ selection.
You can shop the new Liberty Cottage Garden Quilting cotton collection here. I would love to see what you are making from the collection. Make sure you tag us in on Facebook and Instagram.
Happy sewing!
