Ellie’s Liberty Patchwork Top — Made From Fabric Scraps

Ellie has made this lovely patchwork top using just one of our Liberty swatch packs — a womens casual tie shoulder blouse sewn from dressmaking fabric scraps. The free Amanda pattern makes this a perfect beginner quilting fabrics project.

“As the Liberty swatches started arriving, it was so exciting to see all of the small pieces of Liberty and discovering lots of prints which I had never seen before. It’s super easy, quick and free too, a perfect project for a beginner.”

“One of the reasons I love a tie shoulder is because of how adjustable it is; I find it takes the pressure off of having the perfect fit, but ultimately it looks super cute! I laid out my swatches on top of my pattern to get a layout I was happy with. I put all my favourite pieces at the front where I’ll see them!”
