Pauline from the studio has made this really sweet Liberty Pine Cone Decoration. It looks super simple but yet really effective hanging from the door. The vibrancy of the Liberty fabric really showcases the pine cones beautifully.
Pauline said about the make “I spotted it on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect no-sew festive make when time is always short at this time of year. I have loads of pine cones so it was meant to be. Armed with my trusty glue gun and beautiful Christmas inspired Liberty fabric, already pre cut into 2″ ribbon strips, it was a fairly quick Christmas craft project.”
“I think if I made it again I’d make the ribbon strips 4” and sew them into tubes to hide the raw edges. I folded over one of the ends of the ribbon and glued this to the pine cone. I then added little ribbons onto each cone as a little extra touch. I then laid them all out at different ribbon lengths so that the cones hang nicely in a group. I’m really pleased with the end result. I may re-make it again with smaller pine cones and spray with exciting Christmassy silver and white colours. These would be lovely with any Christmas fabrics – Capel F or Capel B-40 would look great or Mitsi Valeria D is a good option too.”
Thank you for sharing your Christmas crafting – your Liberty Pine Cone Decoration is really lovely.
