They have finally made it – the Quilt SOS quilts are now in a Liberty Quilt SOS Exhibition.
I took the quilts to Liberty last week and overnight the fantastic design team in the Liberty store transformed them into this amazing display! It’s so great to see all of the hard work of the Alice Caroline customers on display at the store.
I have LOVED organising this project – it seems fitting for us to make beautiful quilts for those children in Romania. The recent earthquake in Romania reminds us again of how fortunate we are in our own lives.
The quilts look amazing hanging around the centre of the store and Liberty have done a creative display around a sewing machine and table too – check out the machine!
I can’t wait to take the quilts out to the children in November and will keep you posted on the latest news when that is happening. I wonder what their faces will look like when they are given their special gift? I have had lots of emails and letters from the Quilt SOS quilt makers to say they were imagining seeing the children’s faces as they opened their parcel – I’m sure they will be delighted!
Some more lovely pictures of the Liberty Quilt SOS Exhibition.
If you would like to go and visit the Quilt SOS Exhibition at the store, they are displayed in the Haberdashery department during normal store opening hours. They will be displayed from now until October 20th.
