I am really excited to announce a brand new collaboration between the studio here and renowned textile artist Jayne Emerson in this lovely Liberty Valentine Hearts Workshop. Come along to the Alice Caroline studio in Gloucestershire on February 10th and take part in what will be a great day of fabric filled fun.
This patchwork technique looks complicated but is incredibly easy once you know how! Bring along your sewing machine for a wonderful morning in the studio. You will choose 5 fabrics to work with and then learn how make these beautiful patchwork cards.
This lovely workshop will be run by renowned textile artist Jayne Emerson – Jayne has been designing textiles for the past twenty years and has sold her designs to a wide range of clients from Chanel to John Lewis. She loves to share her knowledge through workshops where you can learn a variety of textile techniques. Her workshops encourage experimentation and happy accidents – nothing is ever precise and rarely is a way of working considered wrong!
If you don’t own a sewing machine don’t worry, just let us know and you can borrow one of ours. You will leave with at least 5 cards, maybe more!
This will be the first in a series of monthly workshops that will show you how to innovatively use your scraps of fabric through different textile techniques.
