Anna and I have been really busy making lovely Liberty dresses. We have lots of fun in the studio discussing which Liberty dress we are going to make next. I always try to make at least one from each new Liberty collection. I’ve made this one in Ebru from the new autumn winter 2017 collection. We had a little trip to London a few weeks ago which is always a good excuse to show off a new Liberty dress.
This is my go to dress. I make this one a lot as it really suits my figure. Every time I have a new meeting at Liberty or fancy a trip into London I try and make a new dress.
This shirt dress below has been a long time in the making. Lack of time has meant that it has sat in the sewing box for ages. Its made from a fabric from the autumn winter 2016 collection so is last fabric from last year. Actually, there are several fabrics in the autumn winter 2017 collection that would make a great shirt dress. See the fabric collection here.
Here’s the collar detail of Anna’s shirt dress. Once you have mastered the art of the collar there’s no going back. She’s planning a Queue for the Zoo shirt for her son next.
This shirt dress is made from a New Look pattern, number 6180. Anna is already planning lots more lovely Liberty dresses so look out for those here.
Happy summer sewing
