Suitable for an advancing beginner sewer, it is constructed using a mixture of techniques which will help to enhance your sewing skills.‘Quilt as you go’ is satisfyingly fast as it allows the strips of fabric to be sewn at the same time as the quilting – two steps in one! The raw edge appliqué technique may be completed either by hand or with a sewing machine, the choice is up to you. It does require a

bit of concentration, but is easily mastered and there is no end to the items you can make with this method of appliqué!

This cover will fit a standard 2 litre hot water bottle.

YOU WILL NEED

Iron, pins, thread (including a neutral, black, a contrast colour for back and matching colour for bear), sewing machine, hand sewing needle, pencil, heat erasable fabric pen, ruler, cutting mat, fabric scissors and rotary cutter
Optional: spray basting glue.
