The Liberty London Store at Christmas is one of the most magical places to visit. Anna and I went to London yesterday to the launch of a photography exhibition. More about that later. First, we visited Liberty of course to see the Christmas window displays and to take another look in the Christmas department.
The outside of the store looks so pretty lit up with beautiful Christmas lights.
The Christmas department also looks gorgeous with hundreds and hundreds of baubles to choose from.
The Liberty Christmas windows have so much vibrancy and colour. It’s always fun to see what they will come up with each year.
The reason for our visit was that we had kindly been invited by the charity SOS Children’s Villages to the launch of a new exhibition. Although the photography exhibition was of a really hard subject – the Rohingya Crisis, it was very moving. It was also really lovely to meet the people who have helped to make the Quilt SOS project a success. The photographs were taken over a period of time by Renaud Philippe at the Balukhali Refugee Camp Cox’s Bazar. You can visit the exhibition at the Guardian offices near Kings Cross Station, London. Thank you for inviting us – it has been a sobering thought at what is such a busy time of the year.
