Kathy from the studio has made these Beautiful Liberty Prism Decorations using leftover scraps from a variety of other projects. I completely love these Liberty prisms. They are so delicate and look super fun to make.
I asked Kathy about the project. “I found these lovely prisms on Pinterest and they really caught my eye. I’ve used 1” triangles as I wanted the finished decorations to be delicate. You can download a triangle pattern for this from the internet and print at home or alternatively you can buy the pre-cut papers. It’s a really great project for scraps – I always seem to have lots of scraps and love finding new ideas to use them. I decided not to fussy cut the fabrics for the triangles as they are very small. I used a combination of 2 Liberty fabrics or 1 Liberty fabric alongside a Tana Lawn plain fabric.”
“Each prism took 1.5 hours to make and was very satisfying. I love the finished decorations and will enjoy seeing them on my tree. I finished the decorations off with tassels and jewels. This gives them a really opulent and luxurious finish. The sparkly crystals really catch the light and will give that extra bit of sparkle to my tree.”
Our fabrics scrap bundles are really good for this project. You can buy these here and there is a good choice between seasonal packs and rainbow.
I hope that you are enjoying some of our seasonal ideas for Christmas makes. I’m really enjoying seeing the lovely projects when they arrive in the studio. Thank you Kathy for sharing this project with me.
